Tanya received her undergraduate degree from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing and her master’s degree from EMORY University. She is nationally certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner and has held faculty appointments at Georgia Highlands, Georgia Baptist College of Nursing at Mercer University, as well as serving as clinical preceptor for EMORY University’s pediatric nurse practitioner program. Tanya’s skills have been honed with over 20 years of experience in pediatrics!
She loves working with infants, children, and adolescents and has vast experience in treating many medical conditions occurring during childhood. She also loves the wellness aspect of caring for children, focusing on both mind and body to maintain and promote optimal health. Additionally, she has a special interest in being an active advocate for pediatric and adolescent nutrition and physical activity to prevent childhood obesity.
In her spare time, Tanya loves traveling with her family – with the beach being her favorite destination, sunbathing (with lots of sunscreen!) and being outdoors. She also enjoys gardening, and cooking – especially with her daughter!
Tanya is passionate about educating and partnering with parents and families to empower them to make the best medical decisions for their children so that they can live a life full of promise and productivity. She is honored to be entrusted with helping to care for your family’s precious children!
