Biography

Dr. Stephanie Poole has been blessed to provide care for children for more than two decades. She is board certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and has experience in primary care, hospital and urgent care settings.

Her medical training began in New Jersey at the University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ) and continued at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, where she completed a residency in General Pediatrics. She served as Chief Resident in her final year of residency.

Dr. Poole moved to the Atlanta Metro Area with her family in 1999. She has a wonderful husband and two beautiful daughters. Being a parent added a deeper level of understanding and appreciation than the information learned from training alone.

Her passion in medicine is preventative care. She believes each child has a better chance of reaching their potential when they are healthy and live a balanced life. The key is making healthy choices. Dr. Poole states, “We help our families walk through the different stages of childhood and highlight what is important as they approach each stage. The more we educate ourselves on what our mind and bodies need to function optimally and the things to avoid that would lead to a negative outcome, as well as attend routine wellness visits to monitor growth and development, and screen for possible abnormalities and intervene if needed, the better the outcome.”

God has truly blessed her to play a role in each family that has chosen to partner with the Pediatrics at Whitlock family for the care of their children. She continues to care for children and their families in the Atlanta Metro Area and is constantly exploring innovative ways to provide comprehensive care for her families.

She has also expanded her medical care to the mission field which has been a wonderful opportunity. In her spare time, she enjoys movies, music, painting, and traveling with her family.
